This is an ornament that I did last year. It looks better in person because you can see all the glitter and rhinestones. It was made with the SU "The Snowflake Spot" stamp set. I used Hologram Highlights embossing powder, Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock. I used White Craft ink and Bashful Blue Craft ink. I layered the different snowflake stamps and cut out the snowflake images in different ways and I glued another piece of card stock to the back of the snowflake images to make it thicker and sturdy. It takes a little time but when its done you have an awesome ornament.

Here is the picture of the ornament described in previous post.

Snowman Soup Mini Tote directions

Supplies needed for Snowman Wording:

White Card Stock (cs) for wording (after using decorative scissors the size should be 3 ¾ x
2 ¼); Bashful Blue cs (5 x 2 ½); and Night of Navy (NON) cs (5 ¼ x 2 ¾).

NON and Basic Black ink and cartridge; Markers: NON, Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Only Orange. Sponges. Stampin’ Around Snowman Fun wheel.

I typed the wording for the snowman soup into Microsoft word and printed it off on white card stock using any font.

WORDING:

SNOWMAN SOUP

When It’s so cold that
You holler and whoop,
It’s time to bring out
The Snowman Soup!

Pour the packet in a mug.
Add the snowballs too.
And throw in the kisses
From the snowman to you.

Now fill with hot water
And use the cane to stir it.
Sip slowly and soon you’ll
Feel the warm winter spirit!

Directions:
* I printed it out and used decorative scalloped scissors to cut out around the wording. The size of the wording should be 3 ¾ x 2 ¼ after using the scissors. I sponged along the outside of the wording with Night of Navy (NON) ink..
* Using the 5 x 2 ½ piece of Bashful Blue cs, I wheeled the Stampin’ Around wheel Snowman Fun across the bottom of it using the black ink cartridge.
* Colored in the snowmen images using markers: Night of Navy, Real Red, Bashful Blue, and Only Orange.
* Attach and layer: Night of navy 5 ¼ x 2 ¾ piece, Bashful Blue 5 x 2 ½ piece and wording piece.

TOTE DIRECTIONS:

Supplies needed:
Stampin Up’ stamp set used: Jolliest Time of the Year.
Bashful Blue cs (5 ½ x 6 ½); Whisper White cs (2 5/8 x 2 ¼); and NON cs 2 pieces (2 ¼ x 1 ¼)

Basic Black and Bashful Blue ink; Markers: Real Red, Bashful Blue, NON, Only Orange, Creamy Caramel and Basic Black.

Grosgrain ribbon Navy 15 inches long; 2 Red Rhinestones for Snowman buttons, 10-12 mini marshmallows, 3 chocolate kisses, peppermint candy cane and hot chocolate packet.

Directions:

* Using the Bashful blue cs piece (5 ½ x 6 ½), Score on 5 ½ side-1” from each outside edge and score on 6 ½ side-2 ¾” from each outside edge.
* Cut score sides on right and left sides to inside score mark Leaving one tab on each side of cs.

*Using a small snowflake stamp. Stamp the front, back and sides of the Bashful Blue cs using Bashful Blue ink.
* Fold on all score marks.
* To finish making the tote, put adhesive on outside of tabs and adhere to one of the 1” sides and adhere the other side over it. Repeat this for the other side and your tote is made.

Snowman Image:

* Using Whisper White cs (2 5/8W X 2 ¼T), stamp the snowman image from stamp set in Basic Black ink.
* Color in image using markers: Real Red, NON, Only Orange, Creamy Caramel, and Bashful Blue.
* Sponge the outside pieces of the snowman image with Bashful Blue ink.
* Use the 2 NON pieces (2 ¼ x 1 ¼) and use decorative scallop scissors on the 2 ¼ side only (do same thing on other piece).
* Attach the NON piece to the back sides of snowman image and attach this piece to the front of the tote.
* You can also add 2 red rhinestones to the snowman (for buttons) with glue dots.

Attaching Ribbon:

* Cut 2 pieces of Grosgrain ribbon Navy 15 inches long. Put ribbon on front of tote using red tape where needed to attach the ribbon.

* Start on the left side of the tote bottom and work up covering the left side of the white cs (the snoman piece) (this is where the tape will go), follow the ribbon around to the right front side about 9 inches of loose ribbon then attach to right side front of tote (the same as you did on the left side).

* Attach ribbon on back side of tote the same way you did the front, be sure to overlap the ribbon on the bottom and bring it to the top of the tote (this is where the tape will be placed) and once again leave 9” of loose ribbon and bring it down the opposite back side that you just worked on. Once you do the ribbon it will become easier to do.

Tag:

Use SU’s small and large tag punch.

* Using the small punch. Punch using Whisper White cs.
* Using the large punch. Punch using NON cs.
* On the small tag, stamp small snowflakes on the left side of tag with Bashful Blue ink and with the NON marker write in the words “TO and FROM.
* Layer and adhere the tag pieces together.
* Using a 1/16 round punch, punch a hole at the top of the tag and use silver cord to attach to the tag and the tote.

FINISH:

* Put 3 chocolate kisses and 10 to 12 mini marshmallows in a small zip lock bag.
* 1 hot chocolate packet
* 1 peppermint candy cane.

Put all of these in the tote and place the wording for the Snowman soup in there too. Enjoy!
